Journal of Cell Science
Journal of Cell Science 致力于发表全面的细胞生物学主题文章，唯一且首要的采用标准是文章呈现的科学卓越性。因此，文章必须提出并检验一个重要假设，提供新颖的观点和方法促进对细胞生物学的理解，并激发公众对该期刊的阅读兴趣。
论文稿件类型
这些论文稿件必须经过同行评审。
Research Articles
Research Articles 应为对原创性研究的全面记录报告。论文稿件篇幅不可超过 8,000 字（包括图例，但不包括参考文献），最多 8 个展示项（图片和表格）。其他展示项（图片、表格、视频、数据集）可以在线发表，具体由编辑和评审裁定。补充材料大小通常限制在每篇论文稿件 50 MB 以内（不包含视频文件和封面设计投稿）
Short Reports
Short Reports 为简短但具有较大影响力的论文稿件。报告字数不可超过 3,000 字（包括图例，但不包括参考文献），最多可包含 4 个展示项（图片或表格）。Short Report 的格式与 Journal of Cell Science 上的 Research Article 相同，唯一的区别在于 Results 和 Discussion 部分合并为一个部分。
Tools and Resources
这些论文稿件介绍某种新工具或技术、现有工具或技术的重大进步，或是对细胞生物学研究具有重大影响的新资源。Tools and Resources 论文应遵循上述 Research Articles 的标准格式。
